Hutchens PR found its beginnings in 1992 when Karen Hutchens established its predecessor firm, NCG in San Diego. The firm was named California’s top public affairs agency by Inside PR in 1999 and was acquired later that year by Porter Novelli, a subsidiary of OmniComm.
Prior to establishing NCG San Diego, Karen Hutchens worked at SDG&E as Director of External Relations. She has managed numerous high-profile public campaigns and had an established track record as a public affairs strategist.
