Hutchens PR found its beginnings in 1992 when Karen Hutchens established its predecessor firm, Nelson Communications Group, in San Diego. The firm quickly grew to be one of California’s largest independent public relations agencies throughout California. The firm was later acquired by Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE: OMC), a leading global advertising and marketing communications services company.
